The purpose of the Desert Cheer Athletix Booster Club, a 501©3 Federal Non-Profit Organization, is to promote the welfare and objectives of the Desert Cheer Athletix Cheerleading Teams by providing financial assistance through fund-raising projects to further the operational and educational activities of our Athletes and its Coaches.
The DCA Booster Club is run by an elected volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents of the team athletes. These dedicated individuals are professionals from all walks of life and bring a diverse background of talent to the Organization.
Our organization has two fundraising goals for the 2008-2009 season that we are working to meet. The Competition Uniforms for each athlete cost approximately $300 and we have over 40 new athletes this year requiring a total of $12,000. The Competition Fees to enter each event average $60 per athlete and with at least 5 competitions that the teams compete and a total of 80 to 90 athletes, this target is approximately $24,000.
We are also looking forward to when our athletes graduate High School and want to go on to College. We are committed to providing our athletes the appropriate training to allow them to qualify for Cheerleading Scholarships. We have been actively researching these requirements as well as which institutions offer scholarships and at what level of funding (Partial Tuition, Full-Ride, Dorm & Books Only). As we grow as an organization, we also plan to fund our own scholarships to assist our athletes with the rising cost of education.

The Desert Cheer Athletix Booster Club is a 501©3 Federal Tax Exempt Organization and donations made to our organization are tax deductible as allowed by Federal law for public charities. Donors may request a copy of our Exemption Letter by e-mail or regular mail.
